This is my recreation of a song I created seven odd years ago. The Waltz of Nasturtiums has always been among my top favourites of my 67+ flower waltzes, as I feel I captured the plant's shape and colour in this composition. In particular, I attempted to convey the idea of repetitive textures, fiery petals, trailing vines, spicy scents (and flavours!), circular leaves and spindly floral bonnets. Nasturtiums are a plant I have always associated with the fall, which is why I waited until now to remaster this old waltz; I wanted it to sound like an autumn garden- and to be heard in autumn, while the nasturtiums are blooming.

This one is especially heavy on the oboes, violas, sleigh bells and cellos, since I think those are the most "nasturtium" sounding instruments.

It just so happens that I've have a ton of them in my garden this year, so there is a lot of extra passion in this project, since they've brought me months and months of joy. I'm hoping to do a few more autumn tracks before the season ends. We shall see. :)
