This is a part of an 8 track orchestral suite called "The Seasons", which I composed when I was 16. The album is designed to loop and is highly atmospheric. Each song either focuses on one season at a time, or on the transition phases between them. This particular track focuses of the shift between autumn and winter.

This song is for the brief time between spring and summer when everything is emerald and muggy, fibrous seeds sail through the air and the forest begins to darken. It's a carefree time, mild and yielding, taken to no extremes other than vibrancy of color and sweetness of perfume.

In this composition, I attempted to convey the slowness, mystery and warmth of May. It is very sweet, yet it hints at something darker (the fading of spring). Hopefully, it is moist, airy, dry and fiery all at once.
